Wiarton Rotary at the Hike for Hospice

Rotarians & Friends of Rotary (& Fozzy – the Rotary Sheepadoodle) participated in the Hike for Hospice on the Bruce Trail Sunday, May 7.

Rotary Foundation 100th Anniversary Celebration

At the invitation of the Wiarton Rotary Club, members of other Rotary Clubs in District 6330 from as far away as St. Thomas, Barrie, Walkerton, Port Elgin and many more, gathered in Wiarton to celebrate to 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation.

The Rotary Foundation has been funding and supporting many global initiatives over its history – one of the most visible being the worldwide eradication of polio (and we are so close to doing just that).

The evening was one of fun, camaraderie, wonderful food, great music and poignant comments from the Organizing Committee members, our President, our District Governor and keynote speaker – Bryn Styles – who told of the history of the Rotary Foundation & the continuing need for involvement by all Rotarians.

Thanks everyone for making it a truly memorable evening.
